Ok back to the iphone today for pictures. But I did find a new photo app, so they are a little fancy. Writing a letter to Santa is fun with an almost 3 yr old. He knows exactly what he wants (and what his little brother wants).

Day 6

As you can tell, I used the real camera and not my iphone on this one. It's amazing to see how much Callum has changed in a year. Last year we were having to do some of these activities for him, but now he can do them by himself. Such a big boy!

Day 5

Mema and Pepa were pretty worn out by Sunday, so they decided to watch a Christmas movie instead of the activity that was planned. That's perfectly alright because we greatly appreciate them watching the boys while we were gone:)

Day 4

Another day at Pepa and Mema's house. So glad that we were still able to do the Christmas jar even though we were MIA.

Day 3

I'm way behind on this blog for several reasons. 1. I just started a new job and this is a busy time of year. 2. The boys were with my parents this weekend while Nate and I went through Focus.
But they still did the activities, so the next three post are quick and the pictures are taken with an iphone. But you get the idea.

Day 2

I'll be honest-I love doing the Christmas jar and I love spending this time with my boys counting down to Christmas. But this year is much different than last year. Last year I only had one kid and no job. This year I'm running my own business and have two kids. So I'm very busy compared to last year when I was bored. Last night, I debated about not drawing from the jar because I have a party tonight and a seminar all weekend long. But I've committed to doing this everyday and so we drew from the jar. Of course I'm so glad that we did because today's activity is extra special.

We really want to teach the boys about giving especially now that the oldest knows about Santa and knows what he wants for Christmas. This was a very rewarding and challenging one. I explained to him about giving and the talk went well. He got a little distracted by what he wanted Santa to bring him. But we stayed on track and he found a game to give. The hardest part for him was leaving the store without the gift. He wanted that game so bad, but I gave him a good talk and told him how proud I was of him. He may not understand exactly what he did today, but I do and I'm so proud of him.

Day 1

Have an indoor snowstorm

Today was a school day, so it worked out that we drew a quick and easy activity. An indoor snowstorm is kinda silly, kinda messy, but lots of fun for toddlers/preschoolers.


I use cotton balls for snow. Put them in a bucket, pitcher, etc.

The boys rolled around in the "snow" and did snow angels. Of course we cleaned up and started all over again!

My camera battery died, so I didn't get some great shots. Super excited about tomorrow's activity and hope to get some better pictures.
